Canterbury

Today, we visited the city of Canterbury, a walled city, the setting for Geoffrey Chaucer’s tales which depicted the pilgrimages of St. Thomas Beckett. Everyone was eager to see the eternal candle burning to mark the spot where Becket was bludgeoned in addition the the Corona, the symbol of his murder.
Alan, our EF tour guide, is always a wealth of information.
After visiting the Cathedral, we had time to shop & walk the city wall, as well as walking up to the tower.
