Our first trip to Las Vegas. I was mildly excited to Anthony’s enthusiastically excited. We got a second call from the Hilton Vacation Club, of which we are members, to put us up for two night for free at Trump International. Last time, Anthony declined because we had a lot going on. This time, however, … 2 night free and we extended it to stay an additional 2 nights at Elara, another Hilton property. To say we had an amazing time is an understatement. I likened it to a Disney World for adults. So much to do and see. We gambled a bit (mostly at Planet Hollywood), drank (the Lady Marmalade at L’Atelier was a-freaking-mazing!), ate amazing meals (Mario Batali’s Otto @ the Venetian, La Creperie @ Paris, Julian Serrano, a tapas restaurant, @ Aria, & had breakfast @ the Bellagio Buffet) including at one of the best restaurants we’ve ever eaten at (a 12 course tasting menu, L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon @ MGM), we saw a show (Vega$, which I would highly recommend), had a wonderful spa day @ Aria, shopped, met up with friend, Amy & Frank (and Amy’s college friends), met Juanita waiting for the bus, won $600 on roulette, a night we gambled until 3 am, laid by the pool @ Elara (twice!), and bought additional vacation club points from Twila in LV. Yes, it was a fun-packed 4 days and we cannot wait to return.
