This is our second trip to Las Vegas. We love it–a Disney World for adults! We stayed at the Elara, Hilton Grand Vacation Club (we have gotten so much mileage out of this membership- I highly recommend). Our room was a 3 bedroom corner suite on the 38th floor, and OMG! The view! And the shower 🙂 The Elara is off the Miracle Mile Mall and Planet Hollywood, so we spend most of our time gambling at the Planet Hollywood Casino. It feels like homebase for us. We tried some new things this trip: eating @ Cabo Wabo, Carbone, Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill, the Hollywood Cafe and the Top of the World. I returned to Aria Spa, second to none, with my daughter this time who was jaw-dropped the entire time. I also got to check off one of my bucket list items: we took a helicopter ride over Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam to the Grand Canyon where we landed for a champagne breakfast. We did this through Sundance, top notch company. Adam was our pilot–very cool guy. Visiting some favorite casinos for the second time, we couldn’t wait to see our kids’ reactions to Paris, Caesar’s Palace, the Bellagio. This year, new for us, we also visited the Cosmopolitan where we had breakfast at the Egg Slut (YUMM!!) and New York! New York! We saw Sebastian Maniscalco, opened by Pat McGann– both hilarious!! And we ended our six days with a meal at the Top of the World at the Stratosphere. Excellent meal. Nice view for our last night, too. So, here it is, my top ten for this week!
… until next time Vegas!
